Idea 3 - army

In this lesson we were given another picture to influence us with some further ideas just so we have a wider variety of these ideas that we can hopefully choose on and pick. The group I was in was with Kai, Theo and Freya. At first when looking at the picture it looks like a plane brick wall and it had is little archway thing and personally I felt as if it was like some sort of execution wall or something and I got this kind of image in my head or Japanese people who were involved with the Second World War, would torture the Americans, British or they would torture prisoners of war and so in my head I had these ideas about making audience experience this is first hand. We took a little while to start making something due to us being a bit slow but after a while when we had to actually think of an idea or think of something, we all decided to just go with this idea. The good thing about this idea was the fact it had this on the kind of similar background to the fort with it being that military related. We then performed a piece to the other group and it was in A promenade.

We made audience lineup like they were actually in the army itself and my character would always end up asking questions. It was very similar to like World War II when people didn't have much of a choice to say no. It was a very much frowned upon thing if someone didn't give their life to save the country they were very cowardly and would receive a feather. So anyway my character would then ask questions and because He had asked too many questions he was then dragged out and beaten up quite severely to the point when he was conscious he wouldn't actually answer back and at times it can be seen as a comical at the same time as this, we wanted to show the reality of it being quite a serious matter.
